I do think being in the closet can make it more challenging.  I think once you’re out on your own and if you’re still in the closet… then you’re probably fine.  Being in the closet and at home, I would think, would make it nearly impossible to handle a relationship as well.

See, the thing that stinks about being in a relationship and in the closet is if your boyfriend is out.  He’ll feel as tho you both have to hide that love… and he’ll start to feel funny if you let go of his hand when someone walks by… like you aren’t proud to know him.

If you’re both in the closet, then the question comes up… where are you both gonna go where you can be yourselves?  Do I think it’s possible, again yes… but it’s difficult.

I think if you find a man that you want to be with and he wants to be with you… then you should go for it.  It’s not like I think that people in the closet won’t be able to make it work but you’re up against further odds by doing it (like hiding him from the family and trying to keep from them seeing him all the time as he comes over).  Lol  It’s not fun.

But I do think you could have something.  You just have to acknowledge the extra challenges.  :-)
